The name DOPA, a shortened form of the chemical ‘dopamine’. In this case, this became an allegory for the chemically transformative experience of eating good food. We wanted to create something that felt fresh, unexpected, and distinctly Japanese. Taking inspiration from the streets of Tokyo we bring you comfort food and convenient metropolitan living without compromising on our slow food ethos on quality, sustainability, and ethical food production. Taking inspiration from the streets of Tokyo, this retro milk bar is serving up Japanese comfort food reimagined. The menu designed by executive chef Zachary Tan (Bistro Guillaume, Melbourne and Devon, Sydney) and Marcus Andrew (Zumbo Patisserie) is a 50/50 split between sweet and savoury.
